New immigration policy announced today: minors who entered illegally

The policy appears to allow illegal immigrants who arrived as minors and attended American schools to apply for a form of residency, and to avoid deportation.  The application process is unclear at this point but will be finalized within sixty days according to DHS announcements.  The policy change is somewhat strict and will not benefit categories of immigrants with certain criminal records, or above age 30.  Please review the DHS memorandum and consult with an immigration lawyer to consider carefully any options you may have for immigration status.
