Immigration program for deferred action is clarified; applications accepted on August 15, 2012

The USCIS announced further clarification of the new rules regarding its deferred action program, announced by President Obama on June 15, 2012; the new program will begin to accept applications on August 15, 2012, and is open even to those who have been ordered removed, or are currently in deportation proceedings.  A form will be available for each applicant, a fee will need to be paid, and the ordinary requirements of biometrics, background checks, and mailing applications will apply.  The USCIS also indicated an employment authorization will be mailed in with the application, implying rapid processing of employment documents for eligible requestors.
